Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Juvenile Justice Specialist Supervisor to lead staff at the North Central Secure Treatment Unit in Danville, PA. This 40-hour/week role requires 24/7/365 shift coverage, with 7:00–15:00, 15:00–23:00, and 23:00–07:00 rotations and no telework.

You will oversee safety, daily routines, behavior support, and incident response while guiding residents and staff toward positive outcomes. A starting salary of $63,093 per year applies to new state hires.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in care/custody or related human services or correctional settings.
• One year of experience as Juvenile Justice Specialist or equivalent Federal job title.
• One year of experience in care/custody with an associate’s degree or related field.
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and support adjudicated youth in a structured residential setting.
• Maintain safety, guide daily routines, and promote positive youth development.
• Direct residents during hygiene, meals, recreation, and treatment activities.
• Train, observe, and guide subordinate employees to improve care.
• Intervene in emergencies, address disciplinary concerns, and resolve incidents.
• Share updates on resident behavior and environmental conditions.
