Qualifications

• Associates degree in a related field and two years of job-related experience in a social services setting.
• Or four years of direct case management experience with offenders and their families.
• Must possess and maintain State of Georgia P.O.S.T. certification within six months.

Responsibilities

• Interview probationers and parolees to evaluate progress and compliance with probation terms.
• Recommend remedial action or initiate court actions for non-compliance.
• Administer drug and alcohol tests to verify substance abuse treatment compliance.
• Prepare and maintain case folders for assigned offenders.
• Discuss contributing factors to criminal behavior and rehabilitation needs.
• Conduct pre-hearings and testify regarding offender backgrounds and sentencing conditions.
• Inform offenders of conditional release requirements.
