Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or one year of experience in any field plus three years in residential/correctional/behavioral health settings or probation/parole.
• Experience supervising youth and staff in secure-care environments is preferred.
• Strong communication, calm under pressure, and leadership by example.

Responsibilities

• Leads daily youth and staff movement to ensure safe, secure transitions and custody at all times.
• Maintains security operations with rounds, contraband control, and shift documentation.
• Supports audits and policy development, participates in safety programs and hazard tracking.
• Contributes to treatment efforts through team meetings and behavioral observations.
• Responds to emergencies with searches and proper documentation.
• Supervises and develops staff, manages time/attendance, and coordinates training needs.
• Acts as shift leadership; available on 24-hour call and covers for higher leadership when needed.
