Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field with two years working with juveniles in a residential setting; OR
- Associate's degree in a related field with three years working with juveniles in a residential setting; OR
- Four years working with juveniles in a residential setting; OR
- Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience demonstrating the ability to perform the duties of the position.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and administer juvenile detention staff; lead operations and safety.
- Assist in court and detention division initiatives, programs, and activities.
- Involve staff hiring and selection processes of new staff.
- Assist leadership with new employee training and staff development.
- Monitor work activities of subordinate officers and provide feedback on performance.
- Ensure safety and security of the detention facility and manage incidents.
