Job summary

Mohave County Superior Court & Probation is seeking a Juvenile Detention Officer to oversee, monitor and manage juveniles in the Mohave County Juvenile Detention Center. The role may require day, swing, or graveyard shifts to ensure continuous coverage.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, with at least one year of related detention experience preferred and the ability to obtain/hold a valid Arizona driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of juvenile detention or related facility experience preferred.
• Must have or obtain AZ driver's license and driving history will be reviewed.
• Must complete COJET training annually and pass pre-employment checks.
• U.S. citizen or legal resident; able to work long hours and in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, monitor and manage juveniles in Mohave County Juvenile Detention Center.
• Workday/swing or graveyard shifts as assigned.
