Responsibilities include supervising residents, meeting their basic needs, enforcing policies, completing reports, and participating in CPR and restraint training, while complying with PREA and county safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Psychology, Sociology, or related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent for Youth Specialist.
• Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and professionalism in challenging situations.
• Full-time and part-time opportunities may be available with day/evening shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for residents.
• Ensure juveniles' basic needs are met.
• Enforce departmental policies and procedures.
• Complete required reports and documentation accurately.
• Assist with crisis intervention and physical restraint when necessary.
• Perform routine facility duties, including kitchen, laundry, and supply inventory.
• Participate in required training, including CPR and physical restraint techniques.
• Comply with PREA requirements and County safety procedures.
