Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in Criminal Justice Administration, Criminology, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or related field, or four years as a Detention Aide I/II in Missouri.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Public or private protective services experience may substitute education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Assign, direct, supervise, and coordinate work and training of detention aides.
• Coordinate and facilitate training of detention aides.
• Authorize detainment and explain rights to offenders.
