Job summary

Hamilton County Juvenile Court seeks a Security Officer to safeguard court facilities, courtrooms, holding areas, and public spaces. You will respond to resistance, maintain order, and ensure areas are free from contraband while supporting court staff and personnel.

Starting salary is $28.00 hourly; plan includes 40 hours per week with a varied schedule across 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts. A background check is required; qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to obtain OPOTA Basic Bailiff certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides security and safety for Juvenile Court facilities, including courtrooms and holding facilities.
• Responds appropriately to resistance and maintains safety of judges, staff and the public.
• Keeps facilities free from contraband and weapons and assists court personnel as needed.
• Supervises Security Officers and conducts performance reviews.
• Manages shift assignments and staffing to meet daily operations.
