Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Corrections officer certification from Indiana Law Enforcement Academy within time specified by the department.

Responsibilities

• Maintains interior security of Juvenile Services Center, including monitoring surveillance cameras, door controls, meals and visitors.
• Performs booking procedures of detained individuals, including photographing, fingerprinting and entering information.
• Transports juveniles to/from courts, medical appointments and other facilities; coordinates with law enforcement and courts.
• Issues/monitors medications according to physician orders and ensures proper medical attention.
• Prepares required reports and responds to inquiries regarding juveniles and JDC activities.
