The Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice is a large undergraduate program, a graduate program, and a research institute (CJPRI). This position performs service‑focused administrative work, record processing and technical support, provides information to faculty, staff, students and the broader community, assists with business functions of the department, and performs general receptionist duties. The role is on‑campus, in‑office, Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with a 30‑minute unpaid lunch.
• Two years of general clerical experience, with at least one year that included typing, word processing, or other document generation skills.
• OR an Associate’s degree in Office Occupations or Office Technology.
• OR a Certificate in Office Occupations or Office Technology from a private business school **and** one year of general clerical experience.
• College courses in Office Occupations or Office Technology substitute for the required experience on a year‑for‑year basis.
Contributes to a culture of environmental stewardship, practices resource conservation, and actively works toward achieving long‑term sustainability goals.

The starting salary rate for this position will be between $19.36 and $21.91 per hour. The starting rate may be negotiable above this range, depending on the candidate’s knowledge, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as department budget and HR approval.
