Job summary

AMT is seeking an Entry Level Water Resources Engineer to join our Towson, MD design team. The position offers a hybrid work schedule (office/remote) and a May 2027 start upon graduation, with opportunities to work on challenging projects and advance within the firm.

You will perform hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, data collection for mapping, and design drainage systems. A BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering with a Water Resources focus is required, with FE/EIT preferred and knowledge of

Qualifications

BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering with a focus in Water Resources.
Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Knowledge of hydrology and hydraulic modeling (drainage, SWM, floodplain) with commonly used software.
FE/EIT exam preferred.
Design knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Excellent organizational, coordination and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and reporting.
Collect and analyze data for mapping and reporting.
Design of open and closed drainage systems, stormwater management facilities and erosion and sediment controls.
Assist in the preparation of engineering documents (plans, reports, cost estimates and specifications) for Advertisement and Construction.
Obtain permit approvals from state and local agencies.
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, project managers, supervisors, and other team members.
