AMT in Rockville, MD is seeking an entry-level Water Resources Engineer to join our team. The role will involve hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, drainage design, data collection, and preparation of plans and reports for bidding and construction.

The position offers a hybrid work schedule combining office and remote work, opportunities for career growth, and exposure to projects across multiple AMT offices.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering with a focus in Water Resources.
• FE/EIT exam preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of hydrology and hydraulic modeling.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and reporting.
• Collect and analyze data for mapping and reporting.
• Design of open and closed drainage systems, stormwater management facilities and erosion and sediment controls.
• Assist in the preparation of engineering documents (plans, reports, cost estimates and specifications) for Advertisement and Construction.
• Obtain permit approvals from state and local agencies.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, project managers, supervisors, and other team members.
• Excellent organizational, coordination and communication skills, both written and verbal.
