Job summary

Cox Automotive - USA is seeking an Inspector Apprentice to perform vehicle inspections, document findings, and support end-of-day processes. The role focuses on accurate reporting of interior and exterior conditions and ensuring compliance with Safety standards.

The position requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and strong communication skills. It involves standing and walking for extended periods at Cox location in Minnesota, with daytime shifts and potential overtime based

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Generally less than 2 years of related experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Verify vehicle information based on work orders by inspecting vehicles for damage, missing parts, and mechanical issues.
• Prepare and complete all necessary documentation.
• Set up system for day-end and perform day-end procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures and safety requirements.
• Write electronic condition reports (ECR).
• Conduct OVE courtesy walks during inspections.
• Maintain knowledge of system capabilities and relevant software/web tools.
• Adapt to changes in body mechanics, frame labor, and inspection techniques.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in Safety Excellence activities.
• May work overtime as needed by business demands.
