Job summary

HNTB in the United States seeks an urban planning professional to support data-driven planning projects from concept through completion.

You will collect and analyze data, produce maps and reports, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and contribute to public participation efforts. A bachelor’s in urban planning or related field is required; a master’s is preferred. Strong GIS and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with GIS software and MS Office.
• Ability to compile and summarize census and land use data.
• Experience preparing reports and presentations with supervision.

Responsibilities

• Research, collect and analyze raw data for use in projects and for further analysis.
• Perform project analysis using technical guidance and software.
• Assist with development of maps, exhibits, presentations, and reports.
• Research planning issues and develop conceptual planning alternatives for urban/transportation projects.
• Prepare and produce plans, studies, and environmental documents for transportation projects.
• Assist in stakeholder and public participation processes.
