Job summary

HNTB is recruiting for a planning-focused role in multiple locations including Detroit, MI. The position involves data collection, analysis, and producing maps, exhibits, and reports for urban and transportation planning projects.

Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams spans concept development to project completion. The candidate will perform research, study preparation, and support stakeholder engagement while leveraging GIS and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, geography, engineering, or related field.
• Experience with data collection, analysis, and visualization for planning projects.
• Familiarity with GIS and office software to support reporting and mapping.

Responsibilities

• Researches and collects raw data, organizes, analyzes and reviews it for projects.
• Performs project analysis using technical guidance and software.
• Assists team with maps, exhibits, presentations and reporting.
• Develops conceptual planning alternatives for urban and transportation projects.
• Produces plans, studies, reports and environmental documents for transportation projects.
• Supports stakeholder and public participation processes.
• Maintains project records and files.
