Job summary

Fehr & Peers is seeking an Entry-Level Transportation Engineer or Planner in Riverside, CA. You will build a solid professional foundation by applying standard techniques under guidance, while developing skills to grow in your career.

You’ll gain exposure to transportation planning, engineering, and design projects with mentorship and opportunities to contribute across disciplines. You’ll participate in projects including planning analyses, operations, safety, and design tasks, and you will

Qualifications

• A completed bachelor’s or in-progress master’s degree in transportation, civil or electrical engineering, urban and regional planning, or related fields.
• Experience or exposure to transportation topics including traffic operations, planning, and design.
• Proficiency with Excel and GIS; familiarity with CAD tools and traffic analysis software.
• Interest in learning new technologies and proactive communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct transportation analysis and prepare technical deliverables such as memos and reports.
• Participate in meetings and prepare presentations and outreach materials.
• Support project coordination and management activities.
• Engage with professional organizations and industry activities.
• Conduct site visits and collect data; support R&D initiatives.

Skills

Bachelor’s degree in transportation

EIT (preferred)
