Job summary

Precision Systems, Inc. seeks a Transportation Engineer to support DC street and public space improvements from our Navy Yard office. You'll split time between office and field, mentoring under licensed engineers and progressing toward PE licensure.

Work spans DC and nearby municipal/state projects with mentorship and growth opportunities. You will contribute to design plans, traffic studies, and urban design initiatives, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and engaging with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field with transportation focus.
• FE exam passed or able to pass within 12 months of hire.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to work independently and in a team.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in producing transportation design plans, specifications, and PS&E packages across disciplines.
• Support traffic studies, analysis, and modeling for intersections and corridors with an emphasis on multimodal users.
• Contribute to urban design and streetscape projects including protected bike lanes and ADA improvements.
• Conduct field visits, collect traffic data, and assess safety and operation conditions.
• Assist with technical memos, reports, and client-ready presentations.
