Akuna Capital is seeking a Junior Trader in Chicago to learn how to make markets in a rapidly growing trading firm. You will learn from the traders and leverage proprietary technology to implement a range of strategies, joining one of several desks after training.

The role requires strong math ability, a fast learner, and excellent communication to thrive in a collaborative, high-pressure environment. Starting date is August 2027 with potential for discretionary bonus and full benefits.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, CS completed upon employment.
• Strong math aptitude and quantitative analysis skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration in a fast-paced, competitive environment.

Responsibilities

• Learn from senior traders and apply knowledge quickly.
• Leverage Akuna's proprietary technology to implement trading strategies.
• Start on one of multiple desks (Options Market Making, Delta One, Vol Arb, Crypto, Quantitative Strategy).
