Job summary

TransMarket Group in Chicago seeks a Junior Trader to gain early exposure to real-time trading and develop market understanding through collaboration with Senior Traders and the firm’s education program.

The ideal candidate is highly curious, disciplined, and prepared for a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Must be onsite at our Chicago office and committed to mastering risk management and trading strategies.

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical or quantitative field with graduation date between December 2026 and Spring 2027.
• GPA 3.5/4 or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Python; some C++ and other languages preferred.
• Demonstrated passion for markets, finance, and trading.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Senior Traders to assist in and learn all facets of trading.
• Develop expertise in relative value market fundamentals, quantitative modeling, and risk management.
• Build and maintain quantitative model tools and analytics.
• Manage real-time execution of semi-automated trading system.
• Learn and analyze real-time trades.
• Research and improve trading strategies.
