Job summary

Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting a Technical Project Manager 1 in Los Alamos, NM to support risk management for capital asset projects and gain practical experience under experienced risk professionals.

The role offers mentorship, defined assignments, and training in risk identification, documentation, and reporting while aligning with DOE guidelines and project lifecycle processes. US citizenship is required for contract work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and conveyed understanding of project management concepts.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Ability to organize information and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Assist with risk identification and documenting risks affecting scope, cost, schedule, or performance.
• Draft risk statements with causes, potential consequences, and assumptions.
• Update and maintain risk registers with owners, probability and impact, actions, and due dates.
• Participate in risk review meetings and document outcomes; follow up on actions.
• Learn fundamentals of cost and schedule risk analysis and Monte Carlo methods.
