Our Berks County Division, located in Reading, PA, is currently searching for a Junior Talent Acquisition Specialist!

What You Will Do:

  • Coordinate interviews and scheduling for the division managers
  • Push out on-boarding to all new hires and successfully delegate the new hire as required
  • Work regularly within Applicant Tracking System (Paycom), moving candidates through the process and utilizing functions for more efficient practices
  • Avoid legal challenges by understanding current legislation; enforcing regulations with managers; recommending new procedures; conducting training
  • Administrative Duties and Record Keeping
  • Recruiting administration, including but not limited to, advertising jobs, scheduling and conducting interviews for internal and external applicants, conducting reference and background checks as needed
  • Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements
  • Conduct prescreening interviews
  • Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
  • Assist in preparing and sending new employee on boarding
  • Attend recruiting events as required
  • Special projects and other job duties as assigned.

You Have:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree or bachelor's degree preferred
  • At least 1 year of recruitment and HR related experience
  • Interviewing skills
  • Excellent listening skills and strong interpersonal communication skills with ability to clearly present recommendations and ideas and to summarize complex issues
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations with DOL, EEOC and OFCCP
  • Strong proficiency in web-based recruitment tools, including social media, and applicant tracking systems
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite including Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Knowledge of functions and positions within an organization and the challenges of filling those positions in each department
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with all levels of the organization
  • Strong organizational skills, an innate sense of urgency
  • Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced, time sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality

  • Membership in professional Human Resources associations a plus
  • Experience in a customer facing industry, sister industry or the transportation industry
