Job summary

Textron Systems seeks an entry-level Systems Engineer I to join the Uncrewed Land and Air Systems team in Hunt Valley. You will support requirements analysis, MBSE, and hardware/software integration across the full product lifecycle for defense and commercial customers.

You will work with senior engineers to learn, apply SysML and modeling tools, and participate in cross-functional teams. Travel up to 10–15% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering or related field with 0–2 years of experience (internships/co-ops welcome).
• Foundational understanding of hardware and/or software systems with exposure to modeling tools.
• Familiarity with SysML, MATLAB/Simulink, and JIRA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in systems engineering tasks across the product lifecycle under mentorship.
• Support requirements analysis by reviewing customer needs and documenting requirements.
• Contribute to MBSE activities and maintain system models.
• Support integration and testing for unmanned ground and air vehicles.
