Job summary

Peraton seeks a Junior Level Systems Engineer to support the National System of Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and Federal Agencies. You’ll work with experienced engineers across requirements, solutions design, integration, and test & evaluation to deliver timely GEOINT capabilities.

Location: onsite in Chantilly or Springfield, VA. Requires TS/SCI with poly; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent STEM experience with 0–6 years in the field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related STEM field; or equivalent experience: +4 years without a degree, +2 years with a non-STEM degree.

Responsibilities

• Support Mid-level engineers and government stakeholders across requirements engineering, solutions design, integration, and test & evaluation
• Assist with requirements traceability and architecture analysis, helping identify ways to improve systems, workflows, and cloud capabilities
• Contribute to solutions design based on requirements analysis and emerging technology
• Help translate mission and customer needs into systems and capability requirements
• Support requirements allocation across architecture components and programs
• Assist with systems integration activities
• Contribute to Analyses of Alternatives, Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments
• Support strategic technical planning, risk management, and interface design
