Bowhead seeks a Junior Systems Engineer (ESOH) to join our Tactical Communications and Electromagnetic Warfare (TCE) in Stafford, VA. The role emphasizes ESOH, safety documentation, and coordination across the PMO, with duties spanning plans, reviews, and customer liaison.

The position requires a BS/BA in engineering and 2–4 years of experience, with DoD/ESOH knowledge preferred. Target salary range is $75,000–$90,000, commensurate with experience, at an on-site facility in Stafford.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in engineering.
• 2–4 years of professional experience.
• Experience supporting system safety/ESOH or related engineering documentation.
• Knowledge of DoD or military system safety/ESOH processes is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
• Experience in government or military environments is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of engineering work.
• Generate specifications or plans to support acquisition documentation.
• Support technical findings, opinions, or recommendations.
• Perform customer liaison, presentations, and meetings.
• Coordinate safety documentation and ESOH activities across programs.
