Job summary

Bowhead seeks a Junior Systems Engineer (ESOH) to join our Tactical Communications and Electromagnetic Warfare (TCE) in Stafford, VA. The role emphasizes ESOH, system safety documentation, and coordination of safety activities across the program management office.

Responsibilities include developing and updating safety plans, reviewing engineering docs, supporting reviews, and coordinating with stakeholders.

Qualifications

BS/BA in engineering required or equivalent.
2-4 years of professional experience in engineering.
Experience with system safety, ESOH, safety documentation is highly desired.
Knowledge of DoD or military safety processes preferred.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of engineering work.
Generate specifications or plans to support acquisition documentation.
Support technical findings, opinions, or recommendations.
Perform customer liaison, presentations, and meetings.
Consult with stakeholders on technical applications for program decisions.
Coordinate safety documentation and actions with program leads and safety office.
Develop and deliver safety and systems engineering documentation (plans, annexes, ECPs, RTMs).
Participate in Configuration Management activities.
Support Integrated Master Schedule with key engineering events.
