Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree.
• 0-2 years of experience preferred.
• Willingness and aptitude to develop within an AI‑assisted SDLC, using AI coding tools as a normal part of daily work
• Understanding that AI‑generated code must be read, tested, and understood before submission; accountability stays with the engineer, not the tool
• Willingness to learn and follow established standards, branch and review practices, and escalation paths
• Working knowledge of IT‑related laws and compliance mandates (e.g., Sarbanes‑Oxley 404, PCI DSS, HIPAA/HITECH, Personal Information Privacy) is desired
• Strong interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation
• Excellent analytical and technical skills
• Strong written communication and presentation skills
• Professional planning and organizational skills
• Ability to present informative, well‑organized documentation and artifacts
• Interest in current technology trends, development best practices, and responsible use of AI

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members and partners to define and deliver solutions.
• Support business process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Analyze problems with stakeholders and document requirements.
• Develop, test, and document solutions using Claude Code in the defined session lifecycle.
• Submit work through pull requests, review code, and resolve security findings.
• Follow defined change management processes across DEV/QA/PROD paths with pipeline deployments.
• Build engineering fundamentals: Git, testing, and AI context management.
• Align solutions with Scoular's architecture and AI controls.
