Job summary

General Dynamics - IT in Suitland, MD is seeking a Jr. Systems Administrator to maintain and secure enterprise IT systems. You will support on-site and remote users, perform Tier 1–3 incident response, and assist with Windows/Linux server management while following STIG guidelines.

Required are a Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience, Security+ or DoD 8570 Level II, and TS/SCI clearance with CI poly eligibility. Shift hours are 6am-2pm Sunday-Thursday.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Security+ or DoD 8570 Level II equivalent within 90 days of hire.
• TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly eligibility.
• Experience with ServicePlus ticketing system.
• RHEL/Windows/server/storage administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain desktops and servers across LAN/WAN.
• Provide Tier 1–3 support and incident resolution.
• Install OS and apps using deployment tools like PowerShell, PDQ, SCCM.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and backups and update documentation.
• Ensure security via STIG guidelines and patch management.
