Job summary

Paycom is hiring a Jr. Systems Administrator in Boston/Whitinsville, MA. You’ll monitor helpdesk requests, deploy hardware, and provide software support for Office, SharePoint, and Autodesk products. This on-site role reports to the Systems Administrator.

Qualifications include a 4-year degree and 1–3 years of experience, plus entry-level IT certs. You’ll configure devices, manage access, and contribute to the IT knowledge base while supporting mobile and network security policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Business Administration with 1–3 years’ experience.
• Entry level certifications (A+, Security+, Network+).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong documentation and writing skills for the IT knowledge base.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to helpdesk requests (level I/II).
• Provide tech support for Office, SharePoint, Adobe, Autodesk products.
• Set up new users using Active Directory and configure devices.
• Support mobile devices and enforce policies.
• Escalate complex issues and assist IT manager with projects.
