Mark Thomas & Co. is seeking an Assistant Surveyor I to begin a progression toward licensure.

This entry-level position focuses on learning survey tasks under supervision, handling repetitive duties to build proficiency, and preparing field packages for crews. The role is ideal for new Geomatics graduates, offering hands-on experience with CADD tools, field data processing, and development of essential survey skills required for advancement in the profession.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role with supervision and learning focus.
• Proficiency with survey drafting software and data processing.
• Basic knowledge of survey regulations, terms, and deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project deliverables and field packages; perform data processing.
• Meet deadlines and stay within budget as directed by supervisor.
• Communicate status to field and office teams regularly.
• Assist in creating mapping plats, ALTA surveys, and topographic maps.
• Assist in drafting descriptions and reviewing maps/deeds.
• Research property information for licensed surveyors.
• Support storage, transport, and maintenance of survey equipment.
