Job summary

C.T. Male Associates, a multidisciplinary firm in the Northeast, seeks an Assistant Project Surveyor III to join our Latham or Syracuse offices. You will support field and office surveying operations and contribute to a wide range of survey projects.

The role offers hands-on experience in trigonometry, geometry, and mapping, with opportunities to work on deeds, easements, and legal descriptions. Travel up to 50% is required.

Qualifications

• A.A.S. or certificate in Surveying Technology or related field, or 5+ years of related experience.
• Strong math, drafting, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience reading technical documents and maps; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Work hands-on in field and office surveying across projects.
• Apply trigonometry, geometry, and mapping to tasks.
• Interpret deeds, easements, and maps for project work.
• Convert field data into clean survey documents.
• Create topographic contours and detailed construction layouts.
• Keep data organized and coordinate workloads to meet deadlines.
• Serve as a point of contact on select projects with clients.
