Zusammenfassung

Prairie Engineers, P.C. is seeking an entry-level Jr. Engineer to join our subsurface utility engineering (SUE) team. You will analyze subsurface data, generate actionable reports, and create maps using AutoCAD, MicroStation, and GIS tools.

The role requires a civil engineering degree (ABET-accredited), FE exam progress within 6 months, and 0–2 years of related experience. Willingness to travel and work varied hours is expected.

Qualifikationen

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
Passed FE exam or will within the first 6 months of employment.
02 years of experience in civil engineering focused on SUE or utility design.
Proficiency with CAD and GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD, Microstation).
Willingness to travel and work nights/weekends as schedules require.
Valid driver's license with insurable record and ability to pass background checks.

Aufgaben

Contribute to collection, interpretation, and analysis of subsurface utility data using geophysical and survey tech.
Develop detailed utility maps and engineering drawings using AutoCAD, Microstation, and GIS systems.
Ensure deliverable accuracy through quality reviews.
Support development of SUE work plans and technical reports for complex projects.
Resolve underground conflicts and coordinate with project teams, clients, and utility owners.
Maintain a strong safety culture in field and office environments.
