Job summary

KPFF Consulting Engineers is seeking an entry-level Structural Engineer in Salt Lake City, UT. You will assist in analysis, design, and documentation of various structural systems under senior engineers.

Ideal candidates hold a Master's in Structural Engineering and are pursuing or have an EIT certification. Proficiency in RAM/ETABS/SAP2000 and strong communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is required.
• EIT certification or clear path to obtain within six months.
• Proficiency in RAM, ETABS, SAP2000 or similar structural analysis software.
• Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and mechanics.
• Basic knowledge of building codes and construction standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Structural Analysis and Design: contribute to analysis and design of building components under guidance of senior engineers.
• Prepare Structural Calculations and Documentation: perform calculations and assist in project documentation.
• Support Design Development: help create design solutions for various structural systems.
• Create and Modify Structural Drawings: use Revit or similar software to develop structural drawings.
• Participate in Site Visits: conduct site visits to assess structures and monitor progress.
• Prepare Engineering Reports: assist in creating detailed structural engineering reports.
• Collaborate with Multi-Disciplinary Teams: work with architects, contractors and others.
• Maintain Project Records and Documentation: organize and manage records.
• Support Quality Control: contribute to QC processes.
