Job summary

KPFF Consulting Engineers’ Salt Lake City office seeks a Structural Project Engineer or Project Manager in Training to lead design tasks, perform analyses, and collaborate with architects, owners, and contractors on diverse Utah projects.

You’ll grow technical and leadership skills with mentorship from senior engineers, pursue licensure with firm support, and contribute to the region's skyline while enjoying flexible benefits and an inclusive, team-driven culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • At least three years of relevant structural engineering experience.
  • PE license preferred, or commitment to pursuing licensure with company support.
  • Proficient in Revit; familiarity with ETABS, RAM, RISA 3D, SAP2000, SAFE or equivalent.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proactive, curious, and adaptable mindset with a passion for learning.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civilor Structural Engineering (Master’spreferred).
  • At least threeyears of relevant structural engineering experience,demonstratingstrong technical and organizational abilities.
  • PE license preferred, or a clear commitment to pursuing licensure with support from KPFF’s professional development programs.
  • Proficiencyin Revit and familiarity with ETABS, RAM, RISA 3D, SAP2000, SAFE, or other structural analysis and design software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • A proactive, curious, and adaptable mindset, with a passion for learning and continuous improvement.
Additional Information

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Duties are primarily conducted in a standard office setting, requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer table.
  • Occasionallymay berequiredto lift objects weighing up to 15 lbs.
  • Occasionally visiting project locations and performing field inspections which may involve walking, standing, kneeling, or navigating uneven terrain.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation

The base salary for this role is competitive and will bedeterminedbased on the candidate's experience, education, and skills. The expected range for a qualified candidate with3-6years of experience is$80,000-$95,000. Additionally, we offer performance-based bonuses to recognize and reward outstanding contributions in each Reporting Center.During the interview process,we'llprovide detailed information and address any questions you may have about the overall compensation package and benefits.
