Job summary
Wendel is looking to hire an Entry Level Structural Engineer to work out of our Rochester (NY), Williamsville (NY), Albany (NY), or Middletown (CT) offices. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Structural Engineering graduate to be trained and mentored by our senior staff, with openness to a candidate with some post-graduate experience.

Qualifications
- Bachelors in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is required.
- Up to 5 years of Structural Engineering experience.
- Working knowledge of structural software including Bentley RAM, REVIT and AutoCAD.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the structural analysis and design of components and systems.
- Develop gravity and lateral design loads per ASCE 7 and codes.
- Develop calculations and analysis for building systems and foundations.
- Assist with producing structural drawings, details and specs.
- Coordinate with architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil teams.
- Participate in design and coordination meetings.
- Perform construction administration tasks including shop drawings and site observations.
- Learn via mentorship from senior structural staff.
