Job summary

EXP is seeking a Junior Structural Engineer to join our Building Structures team in the United States. The role supports projects nationwide with opportunities to collaborate with in-house professionals and subconsultants across multiple disciplines.

Expect a mix of design, analysis, and coordination, with hybrid office attendance across Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Tampa or Miami. Ideal candidates bring 2–4 years of building design experience, strong Revit skills, and knowledge of Florida and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on structures (minimum requirement).
• 2–4 years of experience focusing on building design.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Florida Building Code and International Building Code.
• EIT is preferred.
• Proficiency in Revit and structural analysis software (RAM, RISA, ETABS).

Responsibilities

• Take direction from senior engineers and project leads with increasing autonomy.
• Contribute to vertical structure design using wood, steel, concrete, masonry, and light gauge framing.
• Assist with seismic and wind lateral design.
• Produce calculations, sketches, drawings, specifications, and coordination with multi-discipline teams.
• Review existing conditions in the field and from historical drawings.
• Collaborate with in-house and subconsultant teams on multiple projects.
• Occasional short travel and hybrid office attendance.
