Job summary

The International in Florida is seeking a Junior Structural Engineer to support the design and delivery of building structures from concept through construction. You will take ownership of structural design packages, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and mentor junior engineers on commercial projects.

Responsibilities include designing structural systems, preparing calculations, load analyses, and design reports, and producing construction drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a structural or architectural engineering consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of structural design principles and building codes.
• Proficiency in Revit/BIM and structural analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Design structural systems for a range of building projects.
• Prepare structural calculations, load analyses, and design reports.
• Use software such as RAM Structural System, RAM Elements, and Enercalc.
• Produce and review construction drawings, details, and specifications.
• Coordinate designs with architectural and MEP disciplines.
• Review RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings during construction.
• Carry out site visits and prepare field reports.
• Maintain quality control standards and meet project deadlines.
• Support and mentor junior engineers.
