Job summary

WSP is seeking a full-time Junior Structural (Buildings) Engineer to support our Federal Programs AEC Team from Denver, CO and additional sites across the US. You will contribute to structural design through construction-phase support under active mentorship.

The role targets engineers with 1–3 years of experience, strong analytical skills, and familiarity with building codes; proficiency in ETABS, SAP2000, Revit, and AutoCAD is desirable.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant post education experience.
  • Familiarity with structural building codes and design standards.
  • Proficient interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others.
  • Ability to work independently under general supervision or in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis and design of new and existing buildings.
  • Develop structural drawings, specifications, calculations, and design documentation.
  • Use structural analysis software to evaluate loads and design members and connections.
  • Develop design concepts and coordinate with multiple disciplines.
  • Prepare complete structural calculations and BIM models using engineering software.
  • Participate in site visits and construction-phase services; support RFIs and submittals.
  • Complete required safety and project training.
  • Adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and policies.
