Job summary

Degenkolb Engineers is seeking an entry-level Structural Engineer/Designer to join our team across various U.S. offices including Michigan. You will contribute to planning, analysis, and design under experienced engineers, with client contact and site visits as part of a strong mentorship culture.

This role offers meaningful technical challenges, growth toward PE licensure, and a flexible hybrid work model with opportunities to learn seismic design and steel design across locations.

Qualifications

• Advanced steel design, advanced reinforced concrete design, and advanced structural analysis coursework or project experience.
• Earthquake engineering for West Coast offices; seismic analysis emphasis.
• Current authorization to work in the United States for any employer.

Responsibilities

• Structural Analysis & Design: perform analyses and design tasks under licensed engineers.
• Project Delivery & Quality: produce accurate, organized work meeting standards.
• Client & Team Collaboration: participate in meetings, prepare technical documents, communicate clearly.
• Project Site Experience: participate in site visits and document field observations.
• Professional Growth & Development: pursue mentorship and professional development toward PE licensure.
• Ownership & Contribution: take responsibility and contribute to project success.
