Job summary

Dewberry’s Raleigh, North Carolina office is seeking an Entry Level Structural Engineer to design building, facilities, and infrastructure-type structures. You’ll perform analysis, modeling, calculations, and plan production across a range of projects, including schools, healthcare, offices, and water/wastewater facilities.

Ideal candidates hold a civil/structural engineering degree with a structural focus; a master’s is preferred and RAM/STAAD/Tekla experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a structural focus.
• Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (preferred).
• FE (EIT) certificate is preferred.
• Familiarity with Revit and/or AutoCAD is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office software.
• Experience using RAM, RAM Elements, STAAD, Enercalc, TEDDS, or Tekla is preferred.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills required.
• Ability to work and thrive in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• The candidate will work on a wide variety of projects including schools, health care centers, higher education facilities, office buildings, industrial buildings, commercial buildings, structural evaluations, civil/site structures, and water/wastewater treatment facilities.
• Individuals will perform complex building analysis on all design phases, structural modeling, structural calculations, and plan production.
