Job summary

Dewberry is seeking an Entry Level Structural Engineer to support mid-level and senior engineers in design and analysis of non-bridge structures in our New York City office. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate to join a team of professionals and grow toward project management responsibilities.

Responsibilities include drafting with AutoCAD and Revit, assisting with structural modeling, analysis, and reports, and conducting site investigations as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural Engineering is required; Master’s preferred.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience.
• EIT certificate or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Strong AutoCAD and Revit skills are required.
• Knowledge of structural analysis/design software (ETABS, SAP2000, RISA, etc.) is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Proficiency in MS Office software.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
• A clean driving record is required.

Responsibilities

• Producing engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Assisting with structural modeling and analysis.
• Assisting with production of structural calculations and other technical reports.
• Performing structural site investigations and generating reports.
