Job summary

Dewberry's Raleigh, North Carolina office is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to perform and manage the structural design for a variety of structures, including water and wastewater treatment, plant structures, industrial, school facilities, healthcare, higher education facilities, office buildings, and more.

The role involves supervising structural staff, conducting analyses and modeling, coordinating with MEPS, and delivering construction documents while meeting deadlines and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering required.
• Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering preferred.
• 10+ years of structural engineering experience.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license in NC, VA, FL or reciprocity within one year.

Responsibilities

• May serve as Structural Engineering Project Manager for a variety of structures.
• May develop, perform, and manage structural design.
• Provide technical assistance and mentor structural engineering design staff on projects.

Dewberry's Raleigh, North Carolina office is currently seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to perform and manage the structural design for a variety of structures. The Individual will manage structural staff to perform analysis on all design phases, structural modeling, structural calculations, and plan production. Dewberry's Raleigh, NC office includes over 200 design professionals, including a large Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Structural (MEPS) Group focused on design services for clients in North Carolina, Virginia, and South Carolina. Responsibilities

• May serve as Structural Engineering Project Manager for a variety of structures.


• May develop, perform, and manage structural design.


• Provide technical assistance and mentor structural engineering design staff on projects.

• May lead and participate in business development activities, including collaborating with our team in the marketing of new projects, proposal preparation, and client relationship management.


• Meet client deadlines and project budgets.

Required Skills & Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.


• Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (preferred).


• 10+ years of structural engineering experience.


• Professional Engineering (PE) License in North Carolina, Virginia, Florida, or ability to obtain them through reciprocity within one year of start date.


• Familiarity with Revit and/or AutoCAD is preferred.


• Asuccessful track record of managing projects, including scope, schedule and budget.


• Experience coordinating engineering work and interfacing with other disciplines and clients.


• Experience using structural software such as RAM, RAM Elements, STAAD, Enercalc, TEDDS, or Tekla is preferred.


• Solid verbal and written communication skills required.


• Proficiency in MS Office software.


• Ability to work and thrive in a team environment.
