Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering (E.I.).
• Ability to pass the FE exam within 6 months.
• 0–5 years of experience in structural design.
• Valid driver's license.
• Excellent computer and written/verbal communication skills.
• Experience with MicroStation/OpenRoads/OpenBridge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design calculations, reports, and plans for transportation structure projects (bridges, culverts, retaining walls).
• Prepare calculations and plans for building expansion, rehabilitation, and parking structures.
• Prepare design calculations for geotechnical projects (foundations, settlement, slope work).
• Develop 2D and 3D models using MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, and OpenBridge Designer.
• Assist with data collection at project sites, technical reports, quantity calculations, and design work.
• Assist with facilitating project-related public information meetings.
• Assist with bridge inspections (field observations, conditions, documentation).
• Perform construction observation and document material tests and reports.
