Degenkolb Engineers is seeking an Entry-Level Structural Engineer | Designer to join our teams across California and additional U.S. offices.

You will contribute to planning, analysis, and design of structural projects under experienced engineers, with exposure to client interactions, site visits, and project delivery. You will develop core technical skills in seismic analysis, steel and concrete design, and structural analysis while advancing toward PE licensure through mentorship and hands-on

Qualifications

• Master's degree in structural engineering is strongly preferred.
• Exceptional candidates with a bachelor's degree and 1–2 years of highly technical structural design experience will be considered.
• Core technical proficiency demonstrated via advanced coursework or project experience in steel/start reinforced concrete design, structural analysis, dynamics, and earthquake engineering (West Coast).
• Undergraduate GPA of 3.40+; strong graduate coursework performance.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design under licensed engineers.
• Produce accurate, organized contract documents and deliverables.
• Support client communications and document technical work clearly.
• Participate in site visits to observe conditions and connect design to construction.
• Pursue PE licensure through mentorship and development opportunities.
• Contribute to project teams and share ideas for project success.
