Job summary
Founded in 1940 and headquartered in San Francisco, Degenkolb Engineers seeks an Entry-Level Structural Engineer/Designer to assist in planning, analysis, and design of structural projects. You will engage in analyses, contract documents, and deliverables, with exposure to client meetings, site visits, and multidisciplinary teams.
You will gain strong technical foundation through mentorship, feedback, and professional development as you contribute to complex projects with growth toward PE
Qualifications
- Master's degree in structural engineering strongly preferred.
- Alternative: bachelor's in civil engineering with 1–2 years of advanced design experience.
- Proven knowledge in steel, concrete, and structural analysis.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design under licensed engineers.
- Produce contract deliverables and documentation to standards.
- Participate in client meetings and site visits for real-world connection.
- Support mentorship and professional development for early-career engineers.
- Collaborate across teams to ensure project objectives meet budgets and schedules.
- Contribute to project teams and office-wide success with initiative.
