Job summary

Jack Richeson & Co., Inc. is seeking a Buyer I to source raw materials, packaging, and finished goods for a multi-SKU production environment. You will work closely with planning, production, and sales to ensure materials are available and aligned with demand and margins.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 1–3 years of professional experience as a Buyer or similar procurement role.
• Experience sourcing internationally within a $10M+ organization; strong vendor relations.
• Proficiency in Excel and procurement software; solid data interpretation and market analysis.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing initiatives for raw materials and finished goods based on demand and production needs.
• Collaborate with planning, production, and sales to determine material requirements.
• Prioritize internal inventory optimization before engaging external suppliers.
• Evaluate sourcing alternatives to reduce lead times, costs, and supply risk.
• Partner with internal teams to align procurement with objectives and margins.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules; manage supplier relationships.
• Monitor SKU-level inventory data, triggers, and prevent stockouts; support process improvements.
• Generate and analyze procurement reports on cost savings and supplier performance.
