AMS, Association Management Services.NW is seeking a Junior Staff Accountant in Portland to support HOA accounting, including escrow processing, financial reporting, and budgeting tasks. The role is ideal for someone starting or growing an accounting career and currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in accounting or finance.

You will contribute to maintaining accurate HOA records, processing late fees, and posting monthly statements, with competitive hourly pay and comprehensive

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college/university program in accounting or finance, or graduated within the past year.
• Experience with fund accounting and financial reporting is a plus.
• Familiarity with homeowner association management and escrow processing is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Process escrow documents for resale properties in accordance with state statutes and guidelines.
• Prepare and edit monthly, quarterly, and annual late fee processing.
• Post association and bank statements to the website and Homewise each month.
• Assist staff with preparing monthly financial statements and reports.
• Support budgeting by creating templates and tracking completion.
• Maintain accurate accounting records for HOA clients and support daily operations.
