JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position works with staff members to ensure continuity, accuracy, and timely monthly financial reporting. This position requires a motivated team member and individual contributor who is passionate about accounting and has two or more years of experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in processing weekly accounts payable vendor invoices
• Assist in processing and auditing expense reports accurately and timely in accordance with departmental/corporate procedures.
• Review and process the department's purchasing card activity, ensure receipts are submitted promptly, and assign account codes appropriately.
• Responsible for creating intercompany debit memos
• Responsible for reconciling intercompany accounts and communicating issues to other TDK sites
• Responsible for issuing intercompany confirmations
• Generate journal entries for month-end close, such as T&E accruals, cash adjustments, and others as required
• Assist with month/year-end closing activities
• Complete monthly Account Analysis for balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Prepare daily cash analysis
• Assist with functions related to J-SOX Compliance (Documentation, Testing, etc.)
• Provide documentation and support to satisfy the North American region's external and internal audit requirements
• Perform other job-related duties and special projects as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

The successful candidate for this position must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation. The qualifications and working conditions listed below are representative of those required for the position.

• Two more years of relevant financial accounting experience
• SAP and Concur T&E experience preferred
• Must possess good judgment, employee relation skills, and the ability to multi-task

The starting annual base pay for this role is between 50,000 and 65,000 USD for Uniondale, New York. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
