We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team.

Position Summary:

BPM-PR Firm is looking for a Part-Time Contract-to-Permanent Staff Accountant to immediately join our team. As Staff Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing and executing our financial operations. Reporting to the CEO, you will oversee AP, AR, financial records, process payroll, ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and contribute to budgeting and financial growth strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of maintaining accurate financial records, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of financial growth strategies, payroll processing, financial reporting, and strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, reconcile accounts, and ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
  • Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
  • Handle payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll regulations across various U.S. states.
  • Prepare budgets and financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Generate financial reports for management with insights and recommendations.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and vendor payments.
  • Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and suggest cost controls.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Provide financial growth recommendations for strategic planning.
  • Ensure tax compliance and assist with audits.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, Microsoft Suite, and ERP systems.
  • Strong payroll processing knowledge, including ADP.
  • Knowledge of U.S. tax laws.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently in a part-time role.
  • Strong communication skills.
Additional Information:
  • This is a part-time contractor position transitioning to permanent, approximately 14-25 hours/week.
  • Flexible hours available.
  • Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
