You will design, develop, test, and maintain embedded flight software and supporting ground applications for platforms such as MISSE-FF and TAMU-SPIRIT, working with experienced engineers to gain hands-on experience in embedded Linux, circuit-board integration, and space operations. The role emphasizes collaboration, rigorous testing, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical discipline.
• Up to three years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Experience with C++ and Python.
• Familiarity with Linux and embedded software development.
• Understanding of version control and software testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, document, and maintain software for spaceflight equipment and ground systems.
• Develop and modify embedded Linux applications for custom boards and avionics.
• Support ground applications to command, control, and monitor flight hardware and experiments.
• Assist with UI development, networking, and automation scripts.
• Collaborate with engineers to integrate hardware and software across platforms.
• Ensure payloads meet MISSE requirements and function on orbit.
