Job summary

Axiom Space is seeking a Flight Software Engineer to design and develop embedded flight software for the Space Station Development Facility. You will work with propulsion, life support, GN&C, and avionics teams to deliver robust software for real-time systems.

The role requires strong C/C++, Rust, and Python skills in a Linux/RTOS environment, with CI/CD and containerization experience. On-site position in Webster, TX, with milestones reviews and rapid integration cycles.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing code in C, C++, Rust, and Python in a Linux environment with RTOS
• Experience with git and CI/CD tools such as GitLab
• Familiar with containerization supporting Continuous Development/Continuous
• Integration pipelines on Linux Systems

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test embedded flight software
• Collaborate with propulsion, ECLSS, GN&C, networks, datalinks, power and other systems
• Support CI/CD initiatives and test automation platforms
• Integrate hardware simulation and fault injection into real-time software
• Participate in milestone reviews (PDR, CDR, SDR)
• Provide feedback in design and code reviews
• Perform other duties as assigned
